About

Anna Meechan (formerly Griffiths) is the Highly Specialist Nurse for the Forensic CAMHS service, a service providing consultation to professionals working with young people, who present with complex needs and where risk to others is of particular concern.

Anna has a background in commissioning and leading services, both Adult and CAMHS, Inpatient and Community services. Anna has specialised in the areas of Forensic and Acute Psychiatry. Within these areas, Anna has undertaken:

  • Leadership roles in both Adult Acute and Forensic inpatient and community services

  • Commissioned and lead a CAMHS inpatient medium secure service and teams within a CAMHS community service, in addition to a Youth offending CAMHS team working alongside Criminal Justice Services.

  • Assessments of young people engaging in inappropriate sexualised behaviour.

  • Treatment for trauma - EMDR

  • Parenting Skills Training– Non-Violent Resistance (NVR)
